Elessent® Brink® Fiber Bed Mist Eliminators

Removing any type of mist from any type of gas stream

Treating sub-micron mists

Submicron mists are the major cause of stack opacity and environmental citations for air pollution. Brink® Fiber Bed Mist Eliminators feature the latest technology, to effectively remove fine aerosol mists, sub-micron oil smoke, and soluble solids from process gas streams and stack effluents.

The Brink® Fiber Bed Mist Eliminators solutions protect valuable downstream equipment, optimize operations, and minimize environmental impact, while delivering the highest efficiency, lowest pressure drop, and longest effective life available today.

Brink® incorporates a special wound fiber, computer controlled quality, and a patented bi-component design. They provide a high efficiency removal of aerosols from gas streams where they coalesce the liquid particles collected on the individual micro fibers to form liquid films which are moved through the bed by the gas flow, then drained off the downstream face of the bed by gravity.

Brink® Fiber Bed Mist Eliminators excel at collecting the very-difficult-to-remove, submicron-size mist particles that cause visible emissions. Collection efficiencies on sub-micron particles can be designed to exceed 99.5%.

Adapted fibers for each process.

Brink® Mist Eliminators mist eliminators consist of thick layers of very fine fibers placed between two concentric cylindrical screens or cages. Chemically
resistant glass fibers, synthetic fibers and other special types of fibers are used as the fiber bed material, depending on the process environment. Structural screen/cage parts and flanges are made of any weldable metal, plastic or glass reinforced resins. Fiber bed mist eliminators are typically installed in a vessel or tank.

Collected liquid is continuously drained from the tank. A second coarse fiber layer on the downstream side to facilitate drainage and control re-entrainment.

The Socrematic engineers can help your organization select and optimize a Brink® solution for your application needs, whether you wish to improve process equipment design, operation, and product quality, seek to reduce stack opacity to avoid environmental citations.
